Plank to Pike Pilates

Plank to Pike Pilates is a Pilates studio in Greater Heights, Houston, best known among reviewers for hot mat Pilates, with reformer classes too. Members describe workouts as challenging in a good way, with instructors who check form and offer modifications and progressions, so beginners and advanced clients both feel supported. Chelsea and AJ are named by several reviewers, and members who tried other studios through ClassPass say they came back here for the energy and intensity. People call the space cute, clean and welcoming. One reviewer, though, found the Heights studio run down, with dusty fans in the heated room, a single bathroom and no water refill station.

Their hot mat Pilates are my absolute favorite. Try to take a class with Chelsea if possible but all the instructors have been great!

The instructor was Jalen’s Q, and she was amazing! However the studio is very run down. The fans in the heated room also had dust caked on the blades and they turned the fans on at the end of class. They only have 1 bathroom, no water fountain or water refill station, no electrolytes available to purchase and a mat and towel rental is $10, even on a first visit ($20 first time drop in), regular drop in is $35/class. While the instructor was great, the studio itself was very disappointing. Can’t say that I’ll be back to the heights location, but maybe the west university location is better.
