About

Babe Hot Pilates is a Pilates studio in Wynwood, Miami, recognisable by its all-pink interior and a playlist one reviewer says feels like being at a club. Members describe hot mat classes, including a booty sculpt and a hot sculpt class, that are hard but well paced, with smooth, purposeful transitions. Instructors are called motivating and caring, and Hayley, the owner, is described as warm and welcoming. A cold towel at the end of class is a detail regulars mention, and several people describe the community as friendly, encouraging and close to family. The recurring criticism is the grip-sock rule: several first-time visitors booking through ClassPass say they were told socks were required, even for an unheated mat class, and had to buy a pair at the studio.

Had the BEST class today at Babe Hot Pilates! The Cute Booty Sculpt class was amazing — such a great workout, fun energy, and the perfect burn! Highly recommend if you’re looking to sculpt, tone, and feel amazing. Can’t wait to come back! 💕✨

I loved my experience at Babe in Wynwood! It was my first time, and I’m already planning my next visit. Shout out to Steph for an amazing class! I am impressed by the genuine friendliness of the staff and instructors, the workout, the playlist, and absolutely love the pink aesthetic!

This whole grip-sock thing is a big scam. I booked this class through ClassPass for the first time. When I arrived, I was told I couldn’t take the class unless I had grip socks. Apparently, somewhere in the ClassPass instructions it says they’re required, but you have to actually open the specific “how to prepare” section to see it. If something is MANDATORY to enter the class and requires me to spend additional money, that needs to be made extremely obvious before I book. And of course, conveniently, the studio sells grip socks for around $10–$25. I’m sorry, but this is a big scam. This isn’t even reformer Pilates. It’s a mat Pilates class. I brought my own mat, I brought my own yoga towel. If you genuinely believe grip socks are necessary for safety, then provide them for free, provide loaner pairs, or let me sign a waiver saying that if I slip, I’m responsible. Don’t force me to buy a pair of overpriced socks I don’t want just so I can take a class I already booked. What made the situation even more ridiculous was that I was physically standing there, on time, ready to take the class. I told them I wasn’t going to buy the socks. I even said I didn’t have the finances to purchase them. They told me I couldn’t take the class without them and that ClassPass could charge me for missing/canceling the class. So I said, “I’m literally standing right here. Check me in.” They refused because I wasn’t taking the class. But I wasn’t choosing not to take the class — THEY were refusing to let me take it unless I purchased something additional from them. That’s the part that really pissed me off. You create a mandatory requirement, sell the required item at your own studio for an additional charge, refuse entry if someone won’t buy it, and then the customer potentially gets penalized through ClassPass for not taking the class? No. I think that’s ridiculous. Have whatever safety policy you want, but if grip socks are truly that essential, provide them. Don’t turn a “safety requirement” into another opportunity to squeeze $ out of someone after they’ve already booked. So I just left…
