About
Inspire is a Pilates studio in North Admiral, Seattle, that uses the X-former machine rather than a current Lagree machine, according to one reviewer. Reviewers who enjoy it describe a hard workout with a quick pace and instructors who are clear and attentive. The studio offers a two-class pack and an unlimited trial month, which let new students try a few classes before committing. A recurring criticism is injury during class: several reviewers report injuries after classes, and some say teachers gave few adjustments for past injuries. One reviewer advises new students to build up slowly.

My class with Angie was 10/10. The perfect amount of challenge and intensity. Angie is the absolute best instructor. So clear, so kind and very attentive to everyone in the class. Excited to come back!

This studio uses the X-former, which is not the current Lagree machine. The instructor was incredibly rude. As other reviews have noted, there's no warmup, cooldown, or stretch. The machines are very close together. The music is unnecessarily loud, and the microphone used for instructions is muffled so it is very difficult to hear the cues. If you want Lagree go elsewhere, this isn't it. I've truly never experienced a nastier or less welcoming environment. So disappointed.

An update on my review from October 2025. TL:DR, I sustained an injury during a workout at Inspire on West Seattle and you can check my other review for details on the indifferent and uncaring teacher. After physical therapy and a visit to an Ortho surgeon I found out I had a BROKEN SHOULDER. And no, I don't have osteoporosis. Try at your own risk. October 2025 post I waited two weeks to write this review because I wanted to practice compassion. However, since my injury from an Inspire class is still not healed, it's important to share my experience. I had done Lagree at MOOV in Seattle, but wanted a studio closer to home. I purchased the two-class pack and attended one class that left me sore for days, which was great. However, during the second class, which felt much easier than the first, I couldn't keep up with the quick transitions and injured my shoulder. I even heard a crack. After class, I told the instructor about my injury, looking for guidance on what to do next. She said, "I am sorry you injured yourself, but thanks for coming," and hurried to chat with another—not injured—person. I would have expected some checking in to see if I needed assistance with my car or any help at all—yet, there was nothing. I ended up driving myself to urgent care, and I've been on medication since then. Here's the thing: don't be misled by the small class size—no modifications or personal attention are provided. There's an urgency to complete the entire workout in 40 minutes, so if you can't keep up, it's your concern. There's also no warm-up or cool-down; that responsibility falls entirely on you, and it seems they expect you to know this in advance. There are no different levels for classes; it is either the intro or the total body class, which does not seem to be modified to the class participants. I have now heard about several women who tried Inspire and gave up on it, and I understand why. It is not that Lagree is hard, it is that Inspire is not being responsible in how these class are facilitated. As one reviewer said, this is dangerous and I don't understand why these folks are in fitness. Well said.
