About

YogaSix West Seattle is a yoga studio in Genesee, Seattle, and part of a franchise, which some reviewers find gives it a corporate feel. Reviewers describe a clean, modern space with a welcoming front desk, and classes that range from Slow Flow and restorative to hot yoga and mat Pilates. Camy is the teacher most often named, for her Sculpt & Flow and mat Pilates classes, and Slow Flow is described as suitable for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Experienced students are less enthusiastic. One reviewer found the flows repetitive, with the same sequence each visit and little new to learn. The recurring complaint is billing: late-cancellation fees, and emails about a fee that went unanswered. Several reviewers still say the teachers are good and the community feels welcoming.

I’d give 5 stars to Camy’s mat Pilates class, and for all the yoga sculpt classes. They were challenging enough for me throughout my pregnancy and still difficult after returning back to exercise 😅. The studio itself is clean, and the teachers and staff are super welcoming. The only detracting factor is that YogaSix is part of a franchise and definitely feels more like “corporate” yoga. There are cancellation fees, and when I decided to move away from an unlimited membership to a class package, they told me they would charge me an additional month of unlimited because I hadn’t notified them 30 days in advance. While off putting, the classes are enough of a draw that I’m still going to the studio but more of a class by class basis from now on.

I really love this place. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and peaceful, and I always feel good when I’m there. It’s become a place where I can truly relax, breathe, and take a little time for myself. I’m always happy to come back.

Clean and modern studio + friendly staff. Great choice if you are a beginner, but would not recommend for intermediate or advanced yogis. The flows are extremely repetitive and do not offer any challenge or opportunity to learn new poses. I have taken the same class several times and the flow was exactly the same each time, with absolutely no changes.
