I took the hot yoga class with Lilyanna and found it to be the best yoga class I’ve ever taken. I felt guided while also feeling challenged. Thank you for this class Lilyanna!

I've been coming to Yoga Tree for months and absolutely love Jason and Farley's classes - they're incredible teachers, which is why I'm so disappointed to be writing this. I finished work early and saw my favourite class (Jason's) had a spot, but the ClassPass booking window had closed since it was within the hour. I called the studio and spoke to Marisa, who kindly said she could squeeze me in. I rushed over from work, checked in, and mentioned I'd spoken to them over the phone. They told me it would be $35 (their single class rate). I explained that on the phone I'd told them I was a ClassPass customer and had been told I'd be enrolled and had expected to pay the usual 7 ClassPass credits (~$16). Since that wasn't what I'd been told, I asked to go in and sort it out after, as the class was starting and I didn't want to be late. We went back and forth as I explained my phone conversation and that it had been implied I'd pay the ClassPass rate. Ultimately I said fine, I understand it's a misunderstanding and I'd pay the $35. Vlada told me I couldn't go in because the class had started. What upset me most was Vlada's attitude: speaking over me, rolling her eyes while I was simply explaining what her own staff member had told me, and telling me to "email next time to have it in writing" while Marisa, the person who gave me the information, was standing right there confirming what I had said. It felt dismissive and honestly like gaslighting. Yoga is a practice of calmness and compassion, and Vlada’s demeanor was everything but. I hope she can learn to actually listen to customers and represent these values better. I also hope this experience is a one-off incident with an unprofessional employee and not a representation of the studio I’ve grown to love.
