About
Motiv Pilates is a Pilates studio on the Danforth in Old Toronto, a two-minute walk from Donlands station. Its reformer classes change their focus each day, so back-to-back weekend sessions do not repeat, and the timetable also includes yoga, barre and mat Pilates. Small classes allow hands-on correction of form, instructors offer alternatives or extra challenge, and members say it suits beginners as well as couples and family members training together. Lisa is named in several reviews for her kindness and attention to form, especially in intro classes. Booking through the app is easy, though weekend morning classes fill fast. One client was unhappy after a Queen West location closed and their remaining class pass had to be used at the Danforth studio.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, the instructors adjust very well to everyone’s experience level. I find that the Pilates classes are appropriately challenging depending on your starting level. Both my mom and I are clients at Motiv!

I join Motiv Pilates about a year ago. Love the place. The reformer classes are great, always a good variety. Each day has a different focus which is great when want to do a Saturday and Sunday class, no worries about repetition the next day. The instructors are very knowledgeable and give great alternatives options if needed and add in extras to push you as well. Booking classes are also fairly easy. And you arent slotted into the same class, you can pick and choose based on your schedule. Weekend classes can book up fast , especially the 10am ones, but its a first come basis, which is fair, you just got to be fast. Also if you don't live within walking distance, arrive a bit early to find parking. There's usually street parking to be had, otherwise there is a Green P parking close by. Definitely a great Pilates studio to join!
