Steph’s Best: Fitness Edition! I’ve long called Solidcore the “Orange Theory” of Pilates because it combines “fast transitions” with the traditional slow movements that produce long & lean, toned muscles. Adding this to my routine stepped up my overall strength, mental endurance, and muscle tone significantly over a few months that yoga & cardio alone had never achieved before. No one kicks my butt into second-stage muscle failure like JULIET. She’s strong & upbeat, explaining how to modify for additional challenge or relief, but also telling us how to stay safe while targeting specific muscle groups. LAUREN’s got jokes from the school of COACH LANCE! GIANNA is super sweet but the class stays slow & SPICY reminding us that in this room, FAILURE is SUCCESS! Also worth the drive: SIMONA is driving up the AMPS (amplifications, that is) with extra weights, reps, and affirmations reminding us all - YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!!! A dimly-lit room (under the blue lights, of course) makes it safe to focus on mind-to-muscle, and although we do this as a Team (I couldn’t imagine any other way), it’s YOU AGAINST YOU! 🥳

My least favorite part of working out here is that I often want to dance to the music they're playing which probably affects my form

North Burnet-Gateway reformer studio with levels for everyone, clean rooms and praised instructors; some find it pushy.
