About

Reform Studios is a reformer Pilates studio in Streeterville. Reviewers who liked it call the studio clean and well equipped, with state-of-the-art machines and changing rooms compared to a hotel, and praise the front desk and instructors such as Quinn for patient, clear, motivating classes with modifications that make it beginner friendly. Several members say it was their first reformer experience and that they felt stronger and more flexible within a month. Others had poor experiences. Several visitors found the entrance hard to find, with construction nearby and no parking, and were refused entry after arriving just after the early start time because the door was locked. Two beginners felt the instruction lacked modifications and that the reformers were awkward to adjust.

Honestly, I wish I was turned away at the door and charged instead of having to waste an hour of my time on a reformer that was uncomfortable and difficult to adjust unlike many other studios around the area. The instructor did not bother to provide any modifications for people new to the class or assist in adjusting form/reformers.

I’ve had a fantastic experience at Reform Studio so far. I originally planned to sign up for a membership at Solidcore nearby, but after learning about their cancellation policy, I decided to explore other options. I’m really glad I found Reform Studio instead. Here are the things that stood out to me: 1. Great customer service Every time I walk in, I’m greeted by someone friendly and welcoming. The staff is always available to answer questions, and they genuinely make you feel valued as a member. 2. Amazing amenities The studio has everything you need, including lockers, showers, complimentary towels, and drinking water. There are also lots of thoughtful little touches. For example, when I brought a friend as my guest, they had written “Welcome, [Friend’s Name]!” on one of the lockers. Small details like that make the experience feel special. 3. Excellent instructors The instructors are knowledgeable, attentive, and provide individualized coaching even during group classes. So far I’ve taken classes with Quinn, Claire, Felicia, and Tamryn. They are all great, and each has their own style that makes the workouts fun and challenging. I’m looking forward to trying classes with the other instructors too. I especially appreciate that the workouts are genuinely challenging. I usually feel satisfyingly sore for the next couple of days, which is exactly what I’m looking for. 4. Spacious studio and modern equipment The studio is spacious, so I never feel like I’m going to bump into someone. The reformers are modern and have built-in digital screens. During their anniversary event, I tried one of the on-screen sessions for the warm-up and cool-down. Personally, I’m a visual learner, so I liked being able to look at the screen and see what’s coming next instead of relying only on verbal instructions. I don’t necessarily need the screens, but I’d love to try one of their full on-demand classes sometime. 5. Lots of variety The classes never feel repetitive. Depending on the instructor, I’ve used the reformer by itself, with the box, jumpboard, and various props like balls. I really appreciate the variety—it keeps the workouts engaging while targeting different muscle groups. 6. Great music without being overwhelming The music creates a fun, energetic atmosphere, but the volume is comfortable. Unlike some studios where the music is so loud it hurts my ears, here it strikes the perfect balance. The only downside I’ve experienced is the Momence app. I don’t find it very intuitive. I preferred the Solidcore app because it made it much clearer what classes I had booked and what was available to book. That’s honestly just me being a bit picky as a designer though. Overall, I’ve been really happy with Reform Studio and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for Pilates in Streeterville. The friendly staff, excellent instructors, thoughtful amenities, and challenging workouts have made it an easy choice for me.

I registered for my first class and was excited to try it. However, when I was trying to get to the place, it wasn’t as easy to find and access. I was able to figure it out obviously but when I got to the door a couple minutes after the class early start time, I wasn’t able to get in and take part in the class. The door was locked, and nobody helped nor answered my phone calls to see if I can still participate in the class that I registered for. This is a terrible setup and lacks customer service as there is nobody to answer or communicate.
