About

MOVE Studios, in the Speer neighborhood of Denver, is a Pilates studio built around reformer classes, Corealign classes and private movement therapy with Lindsey. The space is described as bright and cheerful, with hands-on instruction that focuses on slow movements and form, and an intro class for beginners. Lindsey is praised by many members for clear directions, attention to how each person moves, and check-ins outside class. Criticisms are about practical details: one reviewer found classes started late and ran over, another that explaining sometimes took more time than exercising, and a third that promotion terms and the booking app were confusing. Other reviewers describe the teachers as thorough, knowledgeable and caring.

Took some trial classes here- classes did not start on time and usually went over time. students were coming in late and leaving early which was distracting. Also felt like some of the instruction was condescending if you didn’t know the terminology precisely. The online site to manage your classes was also not very intuitive. For the price, expected more. The studio is nice and bright and cheerful so points for that.

It is hard to put into words how much we love Move Studios and Lindsey. My wife and I came in as complete beginners, and from the beginning we could tell that Lindsey really, genuinely cares. Not just about you as a student or how well you are doing in Pilates, but about you fundamentally as a person. She has reached out to my wife and I personally in the past just to check in on us and see how we were doing. That has always meant a lot to us. You can also tell how much she cares by the amount of time she puts into every class. There have been so many times where the class technically should be over and Lindsey just keeps going because she wants to make sure everyone gets what they came for. She genuinely wants you to get your money's worth. And honestly, the classes are already really affordable, especially if you buy a class pack. I don't know many places where someone will give you that much of their time and still make it feel accessible. When we first started, one of the biggest things that stood out to me was how much she cared about the fundamentals. She doesn't just want you to go through the movements. She wants you to actually understand what you're doing and why you're doing it. I actually booked a private session with Lindsey just because I wanted to get my breathing technique right. I was worried I would slow the class down because I couldn't figure it out. She spent that time with me breaking it down and making sure I understood it. That probably sounds like such a small thing, but I think it says a lot about how she teaches. The Open Pilates classes have also been amazing for us. My wife and I were definitely the lowest common denominator when we started lol, but we never felt out of place or like we were holding anyone back. Lindsey somehow finds a way to make the class work for the person who is brand new while still challenging the people who have been doing this for years. She is also incredibly knowledgeable. And one of the biggest compliments I can give Lindsey is that the instructors she has brought into Move are held to that same standard. Even if you don't sign up for a class with Lindsey, you know you're going to be in good hands. That says a lot about what she has built here. There are a lot of places you can go to take a Pilates class. What makes Move special to us is the person behind it. Lindsey puts so much of herself into this place and into the people who come through the door. She remembers you. She checks in on you. She wants you to get better. And most importantly, you can tell that she actually cares about what is going on in your life outside of the studio too. We came to Move because we wanted to try Pilates. We stayed because Lindsey made us feel like we were part of something. We are just really grateful we found this place and, more importantly, that we got to know the person who created it.

Lindsey's private movement therapy is nothing short of life changing. After only 3 or so sessions, I'm already healing and making connections that no physical therapist has gotten even close to before. I cannot wait to continue my healing here, thank you to the whole team.
