Great value for classes and amazing variety of instructors! The only disappointing part is the morning classes getting removed off the rota! Not everyone wants to be crammed with 26 other people at 5pm

So happy that MoreYoga came to Canary Wharf, the studio is such a beautiful addition to my life! I have been a member since they first opened and attend a few classes a week, everything runs smoothly and on time and I haven’t met a teacher I didn’t like. Of course I have my favourites (Salvo, Larissa) but I found even cover teachers classes really enjoyable. My only improvement would be more classes, especially later in the evening, so I can attend even more!

I attended the 5:30 pm Thursday class at the Canary Wharf studio recently and, while the yoga itself was absolutely fine, I was quite disappointed by an interaction involving the instructor. I’ve attended classes at several of the More Yoga studios, particularly Greenwich, and I’ve always found the atmosphere and energy there to be amazing. The teachers I’ve encountered have generally been very kind, empathetic and welcoming. I’ve also attended classes with other instructors at Canary Wharf and had perfectly positive experiences. On this occasion, someone arrived only around 2–3 minutes after the class had started, and definitely no more than five minutes. We were still in the warm-up/stretching stage and hadn’t started any movements that would have caused disruption. The person was trying to get the instructor’s attention by waving and knocking on the door. As I was sitting near the door, I flagged this to the instructor, who responded quite rudely along the lines of, “She’s late, so she can leave.” I found this quite uncomfortable and, although it didn’t affect me personally, I felt genuinely bad for the person who had arrived late. People have busy lives, and you never know what may have caused a few minutes’ delay — perhaps a train disruption or something completely unexpected. Given that there were empty spaces right by the door, I don’t feel that allowing someone in a few minutes late would have meaningfully disrupted the class. For me, yoga is somewhere people come to unwind, calm themselves and recharge. I appreciate that studios need policies around lateness for safety and to avoid disruption, but in this particular situation, where we were only a few minutes into the class and still warming up, the response felt unnecessarily harsh and lacked the empathy. The Canary Wharf studio is already quite small and a little awkwardly positioned, although I continue to attend because it’s convenient for me. I really hope the studio can maintain the same welcoming, compassionate energy that I’ve experienced at Greenwich and with the other instructors at Canary Wharf.
