Owl's Head is a great studio. Clean, calm space, and there's a real community around it. People say hello, ask how you've been, remember what you were working on last time. Erica has created a warm, welcoming place. The schedule has everything from restorative to pretty demanding depending on what you need that day. If you're looking for a place to start, take Isabelle Atallah's All Levels class. She teaches the room in front of her. In the same hour she'll have one person refining their sun salutations while she's walking someone else up into pincha mayurasana, and nobody feels like they're in the wrong class. Her cues are clear, her adjustments are gentle, and she never makes you feel singled out for needing one. She learns your name fast. Great for beginners, and you'll still get plenty out of it if you've been at this for years. I can't recommend her enough.

Erica is the best yoga teacher I've ever had in my 20+ years of practicing yoga. She saved me postpartum and during the pandemic. Absolutely challenging yet relaxing/detoxing sessions. Couldn't live without this studio!!!! Couldn't find a more authentic, genuinely loving studio owner and instructor.

Come for the yoga, stay for the community. That's really all there is to it. All the other reviews have said it: Erica has created a loving, welcoming space that goes well beyond caring for the body, for all stages of life. I started frequenting the studio during pregnancy to continue my regular practice, as my doctor recommended stopping hot yoga, but I decided to give the prenatal classes a go too, and I'm so glad I did. I had taken prenatal classes in other studios before during my first pregnancy, but Erica's classes excel in two areas the other studios didn't: empowering women through their medical journey and forming a community with the other moms. I can't thank her enough for how she built my confidence to be able to vouch for myself during delivery, making it a much more natural one. I now continue to frequent the studio in the Baby&Me classes and its a blast! Not only do I get the much needed movement during a time thats rough on the body, but I continue to take advantage of the community she's built during a time that would otherwise have been very isolating. I wish I had something similar with my first kid-- it would have made motherhood so much more enjoyable in the early months. I've met some great women here and more often than not we'll leave yoga and grab a coffee together. If you're expecting or have a young baby, please please consider giving her classes a try! It might not be for you, but if it is, you'll get so much out of them! And if you're not pregnant and are just looking for a yoga practice, the flow classes are fun too! They are grounding and a great contribution to whatever health routine you've got (or not) going on already. Bay Ridge is lucky to have such a dedicated community builder like Erica! I feel so much more at home in the neighborhood since joining the studio.
