Y7 Studio, located in Flatiron, NYC, is a dynamic yoga studio known for its heated classes and unique ambiance.
Manhattan, New York
This yoga studio offers a diverse range of heated classes, providing an intense and transformative experience for practitioners. Many instructors are praised for their passion, professionalism, and ability to create a supportive community atmosphere. But the heat intensity can be a concern; several reviews mention excessively high temperatures that make classes uncomfortable and unsustainable for some participants. Cleanliness is also noted as an issue, particularly regarding the towels and overall hygiene standards. Despite these concerns, the studio attracts a loyal following who appreciate its strong sense of community, dedicated instructors, and the focus on the traditional Bikram method. The location is convenient for those in the Flatiron area, and the able staff makes for a welcoming first experience.

I don’t why this place gets so many negative reviews. It’s the oldest hot yoga studio in manhattan. It’s taught at the temperature that hot yoga is supposed to be taught at - 102-105 F. If you don’t want a hot class, and what comes with it, then go somewhere else. We need a solid hot studio in manhattan that is actually HOT! Thanks bode for the great classes, and keep staying true.
I took a HIIT class with Aimee, and the class itself was good. However, this studio lacks proper hygiene and cleanliness and is very dirty. Sliders were used during class, and I kept smelling something throughout the entire workout without knowing where it was coming from. I eventually realized it was the sliders! They smelled like Doritos and body odor, which was absolutely disgusting. I highly doubt they have been cleaned in a very long time. I notified the instructor, and she told me that they are supposed to be cleaned. There are also no cleaning products or sanitizing wipes available in the rooms for members to clean their mats and equipment after use, which is very concerning. The locker room smells, and the lockers are dirty, with hair inside them. The shower also smells, has a moldy appearance, and the showerheads are very rusty. Overall, everything looks and feels outdated. Considering the studio’s price point, the current standards of cleanliness and maintenance are difficult to justify. The studio needs a major upgrade and a thorough deep cleaning.
A female friend came here and got kicked in the head by a white Russian male while lying on her mat. He didn't apologize and acted like he was the boss in the room.
