About

Mindful Movement Centre is a Pilates studio in Old Toronto that reviewers describe as spacious and bright, with well-maintained equipment and small classes. Members highlight personalised corrections even in group sessions, and instructors who can adapt routines for someone wanting rehabilitative work or someone who wants to be pushed. Clients range from beginners to a ten-year regular, and virtual classes and a Mat Pilates program are also offered. Two teachers are named again and again. Aley is praised for her cueing, patience and ability to break sequences down in several ways, and Sydney for creative, ever-changing choreography, including a high-energy class that mixes jumping cardio with strength and stretching. The front desk is called responsive by email and in person. The reviews contain no criticism.

I have been attending Pilates classes at the spacious and bright Mindful Movement Centre in Toronto for several months. Everyone with whom I’ve interacted has welcomed me and demonstrated a genuine consideration for my well being. The classes I’ve taken with Sydney Temple and Alexandra Laliberte (Aley) are thoughtfully planned and both challenging and personalized; Their attention to detail and their astute adjustments despite it being a group class have significantly deepened the value of my experience. I always leave class feeling energized and have noticed that in my life, my strength, flexibility, and balance have noticeably improved. Special recognition goes to Sales Manager Lauren, whose warmth, understanding, and flexibility have seamlessly addressed and satisfactorily met my administrative needs. Finally, I want to acknowledge Leslie Parker, Founder and Director of the Mindful Movement Centre for her vision of a vibrant movement community and her dedication and leadership in bringing her vision to life. Great gratitude!
