I have known Amanda for over 10 years, and she has been such an important part of my health journey, including helping me through both of my pregnancies. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to make sure your form is correct, which makes every session feel safe, effective, and personalized. Platform Pilates is a beautiful, welcoming studio with such a positive atmosphere. The other instructors are amazing as well. They are supportive, attentive, and truly care about helping everyone succeed, regardless of experience level. I highly recommend Platform Pilates to anyone looking for an exceptional Pilates studio with experienced instructors and a warm, encouraging environment.

Just took my first class at Platform Pilates and it did not disappoint! Great burn, my glutes were definitely feeling it by the end. The studio itself is beautiful, huge windows with tons of natural light, and I really appreciated that there was no music playing during class. It made the whole experience feel so much more focused and calming. It was a small class, just two of us, so I got a ton of individual attention. I took the class with Karen and she was phenomenal, super knowledgeable and clearly cares about making sure you're doing each movement correctly rather than just rushing through a routine. You can tell she brings her whole background (dance, PT, Pilates) into how she coaches. I also met Amanda who was awesome and made me feel welcome right away. Can already tell this is going to be a regular thing for me. Highly recommend if you want a studio that actually cares about how your body moves, not just checking a workout box.

A friend referred me to this studio, and I keep returning. As a middle-aged person/athlete who has had numerous orthopaedic surgeries, my goal is simple: keep moving and remain injury-free. (This has not been an easy task after decades of long-distance running.) Platform Pilates has helped me reach, exceed and keep this goal. Broadly, I once heard that one doesn't do Pilates to get better at Pilates; one does Pilates to get better at other things. Specifically, Platform Pilates' instructors are Stott-certified. I have learned that this version of Pilates builds on "classic" Pilates with an increased understanding of anatomy and physiology. It is this version of Pilates that has helped me build strength, flexibility and balance as well as keep me running injury-free. I recall once that the key to running "well" was to develop a strong core so that you could lift your abdomen/girdle. I couldn't imagine what that meant at the time, but I can tell you that after nearly a year of Pilates at Platform, I can feel my ability to lift my core as I run. In addition, I can take my shoes and socks off and on standing on one leg: something that I never have been able to do. Instructors here focus on helping you reach your goals safely. (No cardio Pilates here, but expect slow, intentional building of strength and flexibility.) The studio owner, instructors and class members all are warm and friendly, showing good grace and humor to others as we struggle and learn. I hesitate to highly recommend, because I don't want to lose a spot from classes filling up. :-) But I will highly recommend after bad to dangerous experiences elsewhere. Enjoy, and have fun!
