About

Haute Bodhi is a studio in Friendship Heights offering Bikram-style 26 and 2 classes, yoga, Pilates and yin. Reviewers praise the teachers, who offer individual suggestions to improve practice. Becki, named by several students, is described as warm, encouraging and fresh in every class. An intermediate class with Adriana and a yin class with Tammy are also praised. The heat, structure and discipline are described as transformative and challenging. Beginners say the teachers are the best they have met, and members cite a strong, supportive community and results such as better flexibility, strength and breathing. Several reviewers also report operational problems: a locked door at class time, a Friday class cancelled with no refund, a Pilates class that started late with the heat off, and mat and towel rentals considered pricey.

Had a great experience the first time coming to Haute Bodhi. However, today I arrived at the studio for an 11:30 class at 11:32 and the interior door on the back side of the building was already locked. No one answered when knocking or calling the studio. I am extremely disappointed as it took me an hour to get to the studio.

I was pretty disappointed with this studio! It was a pilates class and the instructor didn't realize the heat wasn't on until 5 minutes before the class started, which started almost 10 minutes late and got out 10 minutes after the hour, which made me late for work! It also cost $8 to rent a mat and towel, way too expensive for an already $30 class! The workout was tough, so at least that part was good.
