If you’re looking for something truly unique and soul-stirring, 🌒 DEEP DARK YOGA 🌘 Doom Metal Yoga is an absolute experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and friendly — there’s an immediate sense of being welcomed exactly as you are. It doesn’t feel intimidating or performative; it feels like community, belonging, and shared energy. The pace of the class is beautifully intentional — slow enough to drop you deep into your body, yet fluid enough to keep the energy moving. Every transition feels purposeful and grounding, allowing you to really connect with each breath and posture without feeling rushed. And the soundtrack… wow. The doomy, heavy vibrations are nothing short of transformative. The deep, resonant sound waves move through you in a way that brings you straight into your heart center. It’s powerful, meditative, and almost otherworldly — like being wrapped in sound while you move. DEEP DARK YOGA isn’t just a class — it’s an experience of presence, depth, and belonging. Absolutely five stars. 🌑✨

April’s classes feel deeply good, as they are rooted in what actually works for the body and mind, which isn’t how many of us have learned to inhabit ourselves. She offers wise words, creative flows, and lots of options so every body can find the way that works for them. I leave feeling refreshed and more at home in myself. Thank you April!

Vinyasa/Yin with April is one of my all time favorite yoga practices, ever. Her sequences are always challenging, yet accessible and playful. She never takes herself too seriously and encourages you to try things in ways you may have never done before. I have attended classes all over Portland for ten years and keep coming back to April for grounding, fun asana, and I love how she (almost always) begins her classes with face brushing and ends with a delightful shoulder adjustment. April teaches the kind of well rounded yoga I wish was everywhere. 10/10 recommend.
