About

Ready Set Grow is a yoga studio in Northeast Portland focused on pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. Reviewers describe prenatal yoga, a Ready Strength Flow class, postpartum classes, a baby bounce class and a toddler yoga class in which teacher Amy links each pose to an animal. Daniele is named in more than one review: her 4.5-hour Embodied Birth and partner-support class is called well paced with plenty of breaks, and private sessions with her helped one client with SI joint pain. Members say teachers are knowledgeable and the community of other parents has been the biggest benefit, with friendships lasting beyond classes. Babies and children are welcome in classes. Reviewers say the studio gave them strength, flexibility and confidence for birth.

I've been a client and member here for a year and it's been a great experience that's provided me so much support in my peri-partum journey. I initially started going for birth prep for my second pregnancy because my first delivery was challenging. My second delivery went so much better and a big part of that was the confidence, awareness, and presence I developed at RSG. Now that my baby is 6mo old I'm still going to help with strengthening as I've returned to activity, and to provide much-needed self care. I attend classes 1-3 days a week whenever possible and the quality of instruction for the yoga and other movement classes is consistently high even as some teachers have come in and out. Many of the staff are birth workers and provide unique instruction and insight for recovery, managing discomfort, and strengthening during pregnancy and postpartum. It is also a welcoming, baby-friendly, informal, and open/affirming space with a lot of space to learn a little something, get recommendations, and make friends; I have made several new mom friends there, and have received a lot of support with my baby when she needs more attention during class. There are a variety of different class types and instruction styles so if you try a few you can figure out which vibe is best for wherever you're at, and instructors will help you modify the class for whatever your needs are. This is a unique and valuable resource for moms that makes me so grateful to live in Portland! Don't hesitate to check it out, and if your baby/body aren't cooperating the first time around, give it a second shot... totally worth it.

This place has been such a lifesaver for me as a new mama. They're so helpful and friendly with any needs. Great resource for creating a community as a new parent. Highly recommend.

Best thing I did for myself during and after pregnancy. RSG not only provided me the tools to enter into my pregnancy strong, it help build a community of mothers that I'm still in touch with today.
