About

Rudrakshaa Yogashala is a traditional yoga studio in Chinatown, where reviewers describe a practice that combines asana with breathwork, meditation and yoga philosophy, taught in a style they call authentic and rare in Singapore. Guruji is the teacher most often mentioned, praised for energetic, challenging classes that end in a final pose designed to test students, and for detailed form corrections. Unmukth and Ritu are praised for guiding the 200-hour teacher training, which reviewers say covers techniques such as neti and kunjal alongside the asanas. Other classes include core strength, inversion, Deep Stretch and Slow, and sun salutations followed by breathwork. Groups can be very small: one reviewer describes a class of four, where props and hands-on help made a stretch sequence safer and deeper.

I’ve been practising at Rudrakshaa Yogashala for some time and really enjoy the experience here. What I like most is Guruji’s way of teaching. He brings a lot of energy and personality into the class, and there’s always something interesting to learn. His way of leading the practice always leads to a final pose thats challenge you and make you learn to test your limits. It makes you think beyond just getting into a pose. The classes can be challenging, but never boring. And sometimes there’s a bit of laughter along the way too. 😊 For me, it is not just a place to exercise — it’s a place where I’m slowly learning to understand yoga and my own body better. Really glad I found this place.

I literally chanced upon this yoga studio about a month ago, and somehow, I just keep finding myself coming back! 😂 Every class is a good mix of challenging and fun. Some days I’m struggling as I am new to this, but I will always leave feeling good and proud of myself for showing up and pushing a little further. The teachers are amazing — not just good at what they do, but genuinely authentic and encouraging. You can really feel their passion for yoga, and they know how to challenge you while making the whole experience enjoyable. It’s only been a month, but this place has somehow become somewhere I genuinely look forward to going to. Funny how some of the best things in life happen by chance. So glad I stumbled upon this place!
