Absolute Studios is a Pilates studio in London, based in Parsons Green, where reformer classes run from beginner to intermediate level. Several describe instructors who adapt exercises for injuries and joint problems, and who notice and correct each person in a class. Olaf is praised for adapting work around a knee injury, and his Friday evening classes are a regular fixture for some. Many members have attended for years and describe a friendly, family-like community, with classes at varied times that fit around busy schedules. A lovely studio with a welcoming atmosphere and really well-run reformer Pilates classes. The sessions feel truly tailored, with great attention to individual needs and progression. Special shout-out to Olaf, who has been super attentive to my knee injury, taking the time to adapt exercises and make sure I feel both safe and challenged. Highly recommend!

In an area full of Pilates studios this one stands out for me. I have been with them since before lockdown. I’ve tried many of the other studios but none compare mainly because of the trainers. They actually care about each one of us in the class individually. We are not a whole class but a bunch of individuals. It is this that really matters to me and I feel valued and cared for always. Yes there are better machines, posher studios, more hype but that is nothing compared to a trainer who notices, corrects, encourages and acknowledges

I joined Absolute mainly because I am someone who has to do Pilates 3 times a week. I have chronic arthritis, osteoporosis and have had several joint replacements so constantly need to exercise without putting too much stress on my joints just to keep supple and I do feel so much better for it. When I first joined it felt like being part of a family, everyone was very friendly and supportive, some of the teachers are very knowledgeable about the body and suggest alternative moves if you’re in pain. If I don’t go for some reason, my body really feels it and so do I.
