About

Sarah Burgess Yoga is a yoga class taught by Sarah Burgess, with general yoga sessions and a pregnancy yoga class. Reviewers describe sessions that change focus from week to week, working on different parts of the body, and ending with a short meditation. Sarah is praised for offering variations so that beginners and more experienced students can join in side by side, and for checking positions and knowing each student's name. Clear verbal instruction lets people follow the poses without watching closely. The pregnancy classes are described as relaxing, accessible until late in pregnancy, and helpful for common aches. Wonder pregnancy yoga class, I have been attending regularly and have really enjoyed Sarah’s instruction. She sets a welcoming and relaxing environment, targets all the aches and niggles of the attendees and winds down with a lovely mediation exercise at the end. Highly recommend.

I’ve been attending these yoga classes for the past couple of months and have become a regular every Monday and Tuesday. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Sarah is fantastic. She has a wonderful ability to make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience or fitness level. For every pose, she offers different variations and levels of difficulty, ensuring that beginners and more experienced practitioners alike can participate comfortably and safely. What I particularly appreciate is the attention Sarah gives to posture and alignment. She takes the time to check that everyone is practising correctly, helping us avoid injury while getting the most benefit from each movement. Sarah also has the most calming, melodious voice, which creates the perfect atmosphere for meditation and relaxation. Her guidance helps us settle into the flow of the practice and leave each session feeling stronger, calmer, and more centred. The fact that these classes are offered free of charge at the community centre makes them even more valuable. They are a tremendous asset to the neighbourhood and provide an incredible service to the local community. I feel very fortunate to have found them.
