I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst fitness studio experiences I’ve had. During class, I politely asked the instructor if she could skip to the next song because the heavy metal track she was blasting was extremely loud, distracting, and honestly triggering for me. Instead of simply moving on to the next song, she stopped and questioned me in front of the entire class about what was wrong with it. She then responded that it sounded like the singer was just “enjoying herself.” Whether she liked the song or not was beside the point. A professional instructor should be able to accommodate a simple, respectful request without making a client feel singled out or embarrassed. I let it go and continued the workout because I didn’t want to make it into a bigger issue. Unfortunately, the workout itself was equally disappointing. The instructor repeatedly looked at her phone to remember the next sequence, making the class feel unprepared and improvised rather than thoughtfully programmed. The routine lacked flow and felt like a random mix of barre exercises, yoga stretches, and miscellaneous movements. Despite being a barre class, we only spent about five minutes actually using the barre, which was not what I signed up for. The worst part came after class. As I was leaving, the instructor apparently didn’t realize I was still inside the studio and began complaining about me to the woman at the front desk because I had asked her to change the music. Hearing an instructor gossip about a paying client within earshot is unbelievably unprofessional. As a business owner myself, I found that completely unacceptable. If that’s how they speak about customers when they think no one is listening, it says a lot about the culture of the studio. Beyond the customer service, I wasn’t impressed with the facility either. The barres felt flimsy, the mirrors weren’t even full length, and there was a noticeable unpleasant odor throughout the studio. I understand new businesses have to start somewhere, but none of those things inspired confidence in the quality of the experience. I’ve been a ClassPass member for over a decade and have taken classes at countless boutique fitness studios. This is, without question, the worst studio experience I’ve had in San Francisco. I’ve never had an instructor become defensive over something as minor as a music request, and I’ve certainly never overheard staff talking negatively about me before I’d even walked out the door. This experience wasn’t just disappointing, it was deeply unprofessional from start to finish. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this studio to anyone looking for a high-quality workout or a welcoming, respectful environment.

I took the Friday power flow as a complete beginner. Josie did an amazing job making it feel accessible, while still challenging me to stretch my comfort zone. The others in the class had varying levels of experience and she balanced her instruction perfectly. There were options to level up or down as needed. I’m someone who was guilty of underestimating yoga and was happy to feel the burn of a good workout. Overall the studio is clean and cozy. I enjoyed the more intimate space and felt welcomed by the other members of the class. The owner Lupe was very friendly as well. I came out of class feeling very soothed and cannot recommend this studio and class enough!
