Manhattan, New York
This yoga studio offers a diverse array of classes including hot yoga, HIIT, and sculpt, creating a dynamic and energetic environment for practitioners. Many participants appreciate the clean facilities, welcoming staff, and the supportive community feel that makes the studio a home away from home. However, some reviews highlight considerable concern about the extreme temperatures in classes and a problematic atmosphere related to instructor behaviors, specifically regarding feedback on posture and water intake policies. Instructors vary in their teaching styles, with some being praised for their attentiveness and friendliness, while others draw criticism for harsh critiques that foster an unwelcoming environment. Overall, the studio has a strong following, but it faces challenges that need to be addressed to improve the customer experience.

I am sorry, I just have to leave this review... I took a class here through classpass and I cannot shake off the black guy at the register, who kept staring at me, very odd and non welcoming front desk... I don't know what his problem is but this was the second time I took a class here and he just kept staring.
I was running late for class today and came to check in at the front desk, where I was surprised to find that someone had already checked me in. I wasn’t expecting to make it to class, but I still wanted to let the staff know that I had tried to make it. I was told that I still had one more minute to make it to class, so I said, “Okay, great!” I quickly put my things in the locker room, and as I was about to enter the class, one of the front desk staff members noticed that I had left my phone at the desk. Because I was rushing to make it to class, I wasn’t thinking about the phone policy, which had completely slipped my mind by accident. When I grabbed my phone and started walking toward the class door, one of the staff members shouted at me, “NO PHONES ALLOWED DURING CLASS!” I found it completely unnecessary to shout at me. It was very rude and unprofessional. They could have simply reminded me in a nicer way. I apologized and explained that I had forgotten about the no-phone policy. I stepped back into the locker room to put my phone away, but as soon as I turned my back to the staff, they all laughed at the same time, as if they thought the situation was funny. It felt like high school behavior. Unfortunately, I will not be signing up at Bodē. This should be a fun and welcoming place to start your day, not somewhere that makes you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. The entire interaction negatively affected my experience and ultimately ruined the workout session for me.
